Imagine. Engineer. Innovate.
The GCU Robotics Club brings together students passionate about robotics, artificial intelligence, embedded systems, and autonomous technologies to build, experiment, and solve real-world engineering problems.

Team GCU at GRC 2026 — three awards, including Best Engineering League Innovation Project.
Who we are
GCURC is where students learn engineering by doing it. Members design, program, prototype, test, document and demonstrate working systems — from line-following robots to embedded sensing nodes.
Work happens in small project teams, supported by technical sessions and peer mentoring, with competitions giving each build a real deadline and a real audience.
About the clubTechnical focus
Mobile robots, manipulators and the mechanisms, actuators and control loops that move them.
Models that let machines classify, predict and decide, trained and evaluated on real data.
Microcontrollers, sensors, power and circuit design — the hardware layer of every build.
Navigation, localisation and path planning for vehicles that operate without constant input.
Cameras and algorithms that turn images into information a robot can act on.
CAD, 3D printing and fabrication to turn designs into testable physical parts.

How we work
Identify
Find a meaningful problem worth solving.
Research
Study existing work and possible approaches.
Design
Define requirements and system architecture.
Build
Integrate hardware and software into a working system.
Test
Measure performance and improve iteratively.
Document
Record results and demonstrate the outcome.
Membership
